Sheeptails Thanksgiving
Upon landing at Plymouth Rock, the Sheep-grims meet with the native Ameri-sheep for pointers on how to live in the New World! Happy Thanksgiving!
Cotton Candy Made of sugar, spice and everything nice... these little multi-color sheep have made their way into the heart of state fair goodness! Surprise!
Sheep and Kiwi, Oh My! Hatched on May 1, 2011 at a kiwi sanctuary north of Wellington, New Zealand... the first white kiwi ever was born in captivity! So it seems there is one in every family!
Debt Ceiling In light of all the crazy spending in Washington... I thought that we would be crystal clear about what is being spent here at the Sheeptails Farm... questions anyone? ;)
Tower of Bah-bel ... and the construction of the tower was cut short with the introduction of different languages...
Inspired by the story of the Tower of Babel in the Book of Genesis... Sheeptails style!
May Flowers It looks as if the Sheeptails Raindance (featured on May 4th) worked! The rain arrived in Texas... and with the May Rains... May flowers... ! ;)
Free Movie Pass Oh they are getting so very clever aren't they? The whole flock of Sheeptails decide it's time to treat themselves to a movie. I wonder what they decided to see... "Bah Story 3"? ;)
Rain Dance Just before Easter weekend, the governor of Texas asked that everyone keep the need
for rain in their well wishes and thoughts over the holiday... as this is the longest drought in the state in over 50 years!
Even Sheeptails did a little raindance of their own...
Ode to Japan Being that my Japanese ancestors are from the city of Sendai, Japan --
one of the most devastated cities from the March 11th earthquake/tsunami...
this is my Sheeptails Ode to Japan. <3
On Edge While I was studying in Italy, I came to see just how involved wine was in
its culture. I knew I would have to bring that into Sheeptails somehow...
Fly Fishing I was inspired to sketch this one out, when I got to thinking about whether sheep
like to be in water or not. I came to the conclusion that they probably don't...
Curiosity Sheeps The infamous black sheep is back! This time, he gets the upper hand! I sketched this
one while working at my restaurant in New York City, hence... the utensils.
After the Storm The weather always seemed to play a 'background part' in all the past strips, so
here I decided to bring it front and center! This is also the first one where the Sun
becomes a character in the strips. Keep an eye open for his expressions! :)
Were-Sheep I drew this one when I was working in the coat check room at my
restaurant. I'm not really sure what the inspiration was other than 'surprise!'
First Snow It might be obvious that the inspiration for this strip came from when I noticed
the first snowfall while sitting by my apartment window in New York City that winter! :)
To the Sky I actually sketched this one out in a handwritten journal that I kept.
It was an analogy to how opportunities and events seem to come out of nowhere
and at the most unexpected moments.
Falling Star I was sitting in my Architectural Planning class when I sketched this out.
I guess it's pretty safe to say that I wasn't paying attention.
Thus, the first Sheeptails strip was born...
